No, actually that term is used in a Completely wrong sense and is not meant physically. I would think my "unChristian" attitude would show that I don't just sit there and take it. I have complete control of my kids, however, I am strapped into a Seat 40 ft away from the farthest kid. I have to deal with Stupid drivers and pay attention to the road. I can't stare up into that mirror for very long or I'll hit something or some stupid Parent driver. Kids are kids, they push the bounds constantly and I make sure those bounds are kept strict. If I ask them to stop, they stop. They respect me because I return that respect to them. I don't have to ask twice because of that respect. I do, however, allow them to be humans and practice a bit of Grace in most situations, if they keep pushing, I tell them to stop and they do.

And I'll only really care what you have to say about control in my job intill you drive a bus solo and see what it's like. You can't even attempt to understand intill you've been in the seat and have driven down the road.

This earthquake is the best thing to happen to Haiti.
The liberal rally cry will be heard from sea to shining sea. We will borrow money to rebuild the country and saddle the debt to our heirs.

The only way it could be better for them is if we bombed them ourselves or if Al Gore claims the earthquake was caused by americas inaction on cap and tax/global warming.

Another nail in americas coffin.

Ahh what a story. the righteous came out of seminary and began dating preaching girl. after much wooing they were married at an expensive mountain top ceremony and the world was perfect. that is until he came home and found her in bed with another woman, she was a closet lesbian. she left him for the girl and the world was now a sad sad place. the story of desperation and wanting of love just declines from there.

you're new name is flanders.
Almost every guy I know who paid for a womans education ended up single and with the bills.

Super off topic here, but that doesn't make sense to me. Just because she views it to be a sin, she couldn't be one? I'm not saying your wife is a lesbian, but I bet there are a lot of gays that grew up fundamentalist like you whose churches have them convinced that it's a sin, so they just repress it (until it explodes, like Ted Haggard).

Just think about it. He is sending a Christian woman to get an education. Isn't Christianity a religion that does not encourage thought about anything but God?

One of the stations here in chicago did a long story on Haiti yesterday, pointing out the billions of dollars and resources we've sent there in the last 20 years to help them re-establish themselves, and they always fall back because there is no real want from it on their end.

Yes it's a tradgedy, yes alot of people have died. But we can't rush in to save every country that has a natural disaster when we can't take care of our own. How many countries have sent aid when the US has had a major hurricane, flood or earthquake?
Screw them all.
The difference is that for the most part we are to blame for their poverty. After we invaded and occupied them we made them stop the tariffs on their rice and sugar cane which put all the farmers out of work. Before we got involved Haiti was the fourth richest country in the Western Hemisphere.
Besides with all you guys "family values" I figured you would be the first to pitch in. Wish we "dubya" would have done the same for New Orleans.

Let's hope God does't just arbitrarily punish countries for what they did or we have a lot to account for (Native SAmericans, Slavery, Contra's, Phillipines, etc etc)

So what if people don't help us when we have Disaster, It's our responsibility to help other people out and that SHOULDN'T rely on whether they help us out or not.

Our country is struggling with money, that is no doubt. I agree that the amount that is being sent is not worth it, but I don't agree with the idea that we should help our selves before we help some one else. That's just selfish. Plain and Simple.

Our country is known for being a country that will help out because that's one of the ideas that has been engrained in our minds and I'm glad it has. I just wish more people would act on it other then in Disaster situations. Even though we have all this debt, all this unemployment, a large majority of the Planet would Kill to live the way we do. Yet we complain about it.
Now that was spoken like a TRUE AMERICAN.

I think we might have someplace for the GITMO prisoners to go, I mean if we are going to flush all that dough into that toilet, maybe we should move a couple prisons there. Cheap labor, lots of AIDS to go around and keeps them off U.S. soil.
I'm sure the Haitian "voodoo magic" can come up with something as effective as waterboarding, it just won't have as many survivors.

Holy crap dude you are so full of your self it's not even funny. To drive a Full sized school bus you have to have a Class B. Not the Lowest form. I wonder where you're getting your WRONG information from because it sounds like you're talking opinion.

Here's what I have, Class B, P,S, and Air brakes Endorsement. This is STANDARD for school bus drivers. Then there is the week long (40 hour) class that teaches the laws that govern Pupil transportation, behavior Management, Emergency/Terrorist situations.. .to name a few things. Not only that, but we have to go to continuing education to retain our ability to legally drive pupils. The driving test is the exact same as any other Commercial Vehicle. Besides that added rules for school buses, which are even more strict then what are on the trucks you drive and any other commercial vehicle (besides Has-mat and tanker I would guess).

Let's go to the Cargo side of things. Let's see, You get your cargo from two or three spots tops right? My route, alone, has 12-13 stops in it. When making each one of those stops I have to follow strict guidelines on how I perform the stop. Legally speaking, The bus is a traffic light; I can't just switch the reds on and stop. 17 steps total for one stop. OK, Now the Cargo is on the bus. Is it strapped in by ratchet strap? No, They are sitting in seats, able to move about, and are effected by momentum. Does your Cargo Talk? Does it have Emotions? Does it even move on it's own? Could your cargo be carrying a weapon? Didn't think so. And the kicker, THEY ARE PEOPLE'S CHILDREN. Not just a Piece of steel or wood. Priceless Children that are entrusted in the hands of one person, the driver.

The road, This is something I may say a Trucker might be more trained at, but I probably wouldn't. The bus is the width (if not bigger then) a Semi. It's 12 ft tall and 40 ft (depending on the capacity) long. Not long as to semi lengths or anything, but then agian, No joint in the middle. As a trucker I can imagine that people don't freak out when you make moves in the lane, or put your blinkers on right? Well they do with a bus. People are not educated (or they forget) what to do around School buses. The freak out. Oh yeah, and then there is the parents that drive around the schools like they are the most important person in the world. Swirving in front of a 28,000 lb vehicle with thier 4000 pound Lexus. The student drivers aren't any better.....Not only are the swearving in front of people, but making it very tight for a bus to fit through. Yet just about every bus driver can. Because we are taught to.

So, how bout we talk about driving a CDL Vehicle with some respect because you obviously have no idea what the Heck you're talking about when it comes to school buses.
