Default Elhart Car Dealership in Holland

My wife and I are thinking about buying a car from Elhart in Holland. Has anyone had any experience with them? They have a really good selection of Subaru's.

I used to work there and have bought a couple over the last few years. Nice people.

I'm not surprised that they might come accross as pushy in the last year though. Their sales have been down and with everything that's gone on with Dodge/Jeep (the sale and split ect..) I'm sure that they are a little edgy.

I have bought 2 cars there in the past 8 years. I had great experience with them both times. I wish I could remember the salesman name as he was great to work with.

The guy we were talking to on Saturday seemed really laid back and willing to answer any questions we had. He wasn't pushy at all. I was very impressed. They also have the prices pretty low so there isn't really any haggling necessary from what i've seen. We haven't decided yet which one we wanted, but I'm just wondering what other's experiences were.

I bought wife's GrandAm and my Jeep from them - The sales rep is what brought me back.

I did have some issues with the service department -

-GA oil changes every3K - after 36,000 miles I am told the intake gasket is leaking oil..
they did fix it under warranty - but only after I got my sales rep involved.
-Jeep had been in several times, all warranty work- I always had to pry a loaner car out of them by involving the sales rep.

My rep is no longer there - Craig Baas - he is now at Crown honda, If you ventrure that way look him up. He will help you after the sale.

Old man just bought a car from them, and word on the street is they are prepping to become the subi dealer. I ahve had good luck with there service dept.. took some pushing to get a few things done but they did the work and covered all warranty claims for me. They are not my #1 go to dealer in the area, but if you find a good sales man run with it

My parents bought Cherokees from them in the 80s and 90s and had very bad customer service. I bought a new 2000 GMC from them and had terrible service. I will never go there again. Jon had bad service, Tom had bad service and Dan had very bad service. (Exterra). Stay away. Go to GR Subaru dealer on 28th St.

That was in lateer 90's.
