Default Old timer knifes

I was at the fishing show and had a lady sharpen my knife for me. She told me I need to look it up cause if its worth what she thinks it is I will prolly stop carrying it and put it up safe. Just wondering if anyone knows web sites I can look it up or a store to go to? thanks. Its my great grandma's 2 blade folding 3.5" blades.

Old Timer knives were made by Schrade. It is worth about what a new one would cost. Unless it's some really rare model, it should be worth in the 20 dollar range. Large ones go for 50 or so. Collectors are always looking for them because they are good, solid knives.

Old Timer was made by Schrade, until they went out of business a couple yeas ago. Since then, a foreign company ( I believe Chinese, but don't quote me) has bought the rights to the brand and is producing them again. They are still pretty decent quality, but no longer
American made. I don't think the foreign models carry a warranty like the old ones.

next gun and knife show, they might only give you the price they would buy it from you for but just take that price and triple it.

example, my dads rem 700 .223 with leopold varix3 on it, MINT 2 years old and less than 100 rounds through it. they offered $500 for the whole thing, each and every booth we took it to!

p.s. the venders are there to make money, not to collect.
