im guessing they hit the gas and thought it was the brake because thats so sad and pathetic that an accident like that can happen to anyone.

yep, hit the gas instead of the break all the way out the parking lot apparently.

I don't know anyone that slams the break all the way to the floor right away unless its an emergency.

Yes, I do find hitting the gas to be a pretty bone headed move, i did it once when I was 16 and never did it again. I'm a professional driver, I drive semis, and my job demands nothing less than perfection, and it should be that way with anyone that operates a motor vehicle weather its a 161,000lb big rig or a 700lb smart car.
