There are several Alro locations throughout the state. I get my stuff from Pontiac Steel, which is, suprisingly, in Pontiac.

At our shop, we are putting together a "Drop Room" for miscellanious steel drops from cutting up steel for jobs. Your not going to find long pieces here, just drops, most south of 4' long. Round, flat, steel, aluminum, tubing, hex, etc... We plan on charging a flat per pound price. Pick what you want, put it on a scale, what it weights is what you pay, no change, change is provided from a bucket of loose nuts, bolts, washers etc...

I'll post when we get the shelves stocked. I've got 3 skid boxes and 2 large rolling carts filled with stuff, we have the shelves aready up, but figuring out the details may take a bit.

Its in Clinton Twp.

This might sound dumb but I'm just starting on a rear bumper.....I've got a 4x6x3/16 main tube, and that's it so far.
Will they let you go in and look around? I'm not sure what I want exactly, but once I see some stuff It'll click in my head.

haha.
My wife's family lives in comstock park so I'm up that way at least once a month.

Yes they will let you look around, I have done that many times there. Just like shopping at the store, just start looking, someone will see if you need help. The Brothers that own it are real good people.
