I am looking for an engine for a 98 f 250, its a 5.4l.

92 the 5.4 didnt exist. 4.9, 5.0, 5.8, 7.5, or 7.3 diesel

I thought 97 was the 1st year for the 5.4L? I always assumed the gas options for that year were the 5.0L the 5.8L and the 460ci ? I could be wrong

Edit: I guess im too slow of a typer.

I work at henderson glass and its one of our flat glass trucks no rust on the thing, just some dumbass changed the oil in it and didnt tighten the plug down and when it was driven, all the oil drained out and it seezed up. thats what i was told. I can get the thing for 350, should i do it? ill check on the year again when i go back into work

97 was the debut year for that motor in a half ton. had to wait until 99 to get it in a SD.

I've got one that came out of 2000 superduty...it ran, but had high mileage (shop truck) and had low compression on 2 cylinders, so it had a noticeable miss...wasnt bad, but we had another shop truck that got totaled, so I swapped engines...this one should be rebuilt before going in, but its complete
