I'd rather prefer a wagon, something like this:

There's a forum dedicated to these AMC Eagles, called the Eagle Nest or something. I haven't been on in a while. I really want to buy one and SAS the front using XJ axles.

I do. Or do I?

Saab 9-2x, or should I say, Subaru Impreza wagon?

Made in Japan by Subaru for Saab.

At the time it was made, GM owned a portion of Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru) and all of Saab. Money came back to GM and never left the USA from the sale.

Is this considered driving "foreign"?

It's more a nimble backroad bomber for dirt roads and snow, not so much for wheeling - especially in the sense of wheeling you can achieve in an Eagle with a simple TC swap.

But the question wasn't "Which would you choose?", it was "Would you?".

Scooter, if you buy a Subaru, we can start a club. I has Subaru also, it's pretty fast. Like racecar fast.

Yes I would, I miss having my WRX Wagon. Used to shame 4x4 trucks and suv's on northern Michigan snow covered roads daily.
