i personally like my thronbirds, had them on the jeep all summer and this fall into the snow and they did well.i flipped over the blade in my tire grooving iron and ran some fine lines across the center treads for a little better ice grip, didn't do much.

but they look mean and they catch eyes wherever i go. the big side lugs do pretty decent down in ruts, leave a nice swirl pattern on the side of the rut haha

for what i paid for them, i think they're pretty good.

and for 93liftedzj, i've run mtr's, bfg muds, procomp xterrains, and baja belteds, and i still say the tsls are decent if you get the right price.

out of the tires you listed you have owned, the only ones worth a damn are the mtr's and the bfg mt's...the rest are useless junk.

I had 33" thornbirds on my old s-10 and they stuck out nicely and the side biters would sling some mud. I like them. I have a set of 35's sitting in the barn waiting to get a truck that they will fit on. lol

If you already have them..chances are you'll be stuck with them

My advise is also to have a pro groove them for better performance

If you cant do it yourself..you could try these guys...http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/showthread.php?t=152460... as they are very affordable, and offer quick turn around time

I also ran suckbirds...back when I had a Mullet And they look great, but that is about it

93 zj,actually you are kinda being a dick.......everybody has got different opinions and i wasnt talking about full on bogging with them i just meant romping around in some looser bogs around the area. i dont doubt your rams abilities or the fact that they blew out randomly all im saying is i'm not giving shitty advice just my advice which happens to think you should stop calling peoples opinions out and rather help the individual with the questions.

as far as the price 650 is on the pricey side but throw it out there and see what happens

meh, maybe i am? but...if they just sucked at what they do, i wouldnt care, to each there own if they wanna run them...

i steer people clear of them, because there downright fucking dangerous, NUMEROUS accounts they have blown the fukc out for NO reason, it happened to me on 2 different vehicles,2 different sizes...and it has happened to MANY people i know, my buddy rolled his newly finished K5 because of them...brand new tires with 20 street miles, sidewall blew out like most all of them do...sent his blazer end over end and into a ditch on its roof..why in the hell interco still makes these peices of shit, is BEYOND me..

like i said, maybe i am being a dick...but id rather steer someone clear of them, then see somebody get hurt because of them. and its not JUST me that feels this way, others in this thread, and others in every other thornbird thread say the exact same things.

85% hate them for alot of reasons
10 % have no experience with them and give BS advice
5% actually have had good luck with them..

maybe its hit or miss with those tires? maybe jojo the tire guy down at interco puts the crackpipe down everyonce in awhile and some good sets make it through {though few and far between} is it really worth the gamble though?

simply put, to me its not.

Looked more like you were mudbogging in a clay pit to me, but what do I know. I have been running a set of 33-12.50 thornbirds on my xj for over 4 years, mostly a trail rig over the 4 years, but took it on a road trip to baldwin pulling my camper also drive it to K-zoo from time to time as well as locally, yeah I catch flak about them but for the price I payed I won't complain, they worked well for me at the Badlands, Bundy Hill, Drummond, private lease property and local trails. my .02

im really trying not to be a dick...

but if your gonna run em, have them inspected on the sidewalls, be careful with them at first...there handling characteristics are sketchy..

keep them inflated, low pressures heats them up on the highway, thats when they blow out most of the time...

jsut be careful bro.
