I will eventually replace the seats with some suspension seats. I just don't have the money. And these clean up alot easier from the mud. The pads/covers that I have for them are pretty nice. The seats actually fit how my back is shaped, So they are comfortable to me. Some others don't like them as much, but I don't see them pulling out their credit cards for a new set. Lol.

Working on pulling the rear suspension today. Going to rebuild the rear springs, and put some non welded spiders in the diff for now since it will be getting driven on the road for a while. Also have a new lube locker gasket for the rear.

Got some stuff done today. I got the shackles cleaned up and repainted, the spring all ground down and have one coat of fresh paint on them now. Gonna finish them tomorrow and then put them back together. The front axle is ready to go in, and get the perches welded up. The rear axle is ready to go in, and have perches welded. Also got the shifter/boot/knobs put back together. I also got the gas tank fastened down. Hopefully getting a bit more stuff done tomorrow.
Next big project is figuring out the steering. Trying to decide if I want to use stock stuff for now to get it running, or just take some more time and build a custom setup.
Also planning on getting rear shaft welded up this weekend, or beginning of next week.(my welder is currently out of town. LOL)

I will post some new pictures when I get a little bit more done.

Got the gears in the rear axle swapped around and the new LubeLocker gasket installed. Put the rear axle back in the jeep, and bolted everything together. I still need to get some U bolts for the front on monday so that I can bolt the front axle in place, and have it setting on it's own weight so that I can set the pinion angles. I put the rear tires on, and I forgot how good it looks. I can't wait to get the front end back together. I will get some pics when I get some stuff moved around the in the barn later.

I got the front u joints done today. Found some clean turn signal lenses off an old CJ in the junkyard today. Just need to find some axle shaft slingers, and get a new unit bearing, and the front axle will be back together. Hopefully getting some u bolts for the front tomorrow, and I can get it back on all 4 tires.

Here are some current pic of how the jeep sits as of this evening. I really liek the new stance, and lift height. I also think I did pretty good just guessing on the leaf springs when building my first set of bastard packs. Hopefully knocking out some more stuff tomorrow.

Got the axles back today from having a friend weld the spring perches, and weld the 8.8 axle tubes to the differential. Threw a coat of gloss black on them to make them look a little better. Getting the axles back in tomorrow, then working on getting the brakes back on, new lines ran, and bleeding them, getting the fluids filled, tires back on, getting the driveshaft setup for the rear, and any other little projects that I find once that stuff is done.

Got the axles in, differentials and transmisssion filled, brakes on( started to bleed but I found a bed caliper, and getting a new one in the morning.)finishing up most of the little stuff tomorrow. Then just need to build steering linkages, rig some form of exhaust and get the rear drive shaft welded up. Hoping to have it running for a test run around the yard monday night or tuesday. I will get some pics on its maiden voyage out of the barn.

It is running now. Just need to get the air out of the cooling system, and then get the inserts for the steering so that I can get that finished. Then weld the rear driveshaft and put it in. I am ready to drive it.

The steering linkages are ready to be welded, as is the rear driveshaft. Getting them welded, then installing them. And hopefully driving the jeep soon.

The jeep went up and down the road tonight under its own power. Now I need to work on the bumpstops, steering stops, and shock mounts. At least it is running now. Just little things now, Finally.

Been working on little things lately but nothing that is worth taking pics of. Trying to decide how to mount the rear shocks. There isn't enough room between the frame and inside of the tires. Thinking about mounting the top of the shock near each other, and having them angle out to the bottom mounts out near the leaf springs. I know this isn't the greatest way, since the shocks will not work the best, but I dont see any other options. If you have any ideas let me know. I will try to get some pics up so that it is easier to explain.
