i got to ask,

rhinozj why do you have to go up winch hill at full throttle? do you know that there is a finesse to this sport? its no wonder why you have a HUGE cage and need rockwells. thats quite a show. but thats all, a show. sorry to be a dick, but it seems like you are just trying to show off too much.

It is called winch hill for a reason if you can make it up it without one then why not?

Just to clarify, the pictures above aren't "Winch Hill".

To anser your question regarding "Winch Hill", Kareless asked me to give her son and his friend a ride up "Winch Hill" and to scare the crap out of them. So we went up the medium run on the left, came back down and then we hit the hardest line on the right, that no one had attempted yet and made it up. (So yes, it may have seemed like I was showing off, but I was asked to do so. On a side note, all passengers had on 5 point harnesses while running "Winch Hill".)

As for finess to the sport, when the rocks are snow covered, and your rig weighs 7K lbs, there's no finessing. Matter of fact, almost everyone that hit any kind of hill today, with or without obstacles, were into the throttle quite a bit in order to make it up. Snow adds a whole different element to wheeling.

I'm glad you thought it was a good show, and I hope this answers your questions. (I'm not in any way trying to be mean, sarcastic, or malicious, I just didn't think you were being retorical, and thought you really wanted an answer.)

On another note, I had a great time, met some new people, and will upload what I have for pics or video when I get them all downloaded.

nice pics. Looks like you guys had fun. Those little runs in the woods, where it gets real tight are pretty fun... kind of like pinball.

The place is definitely a little more challenging with the snow.

I planned on going trail riding for a couple of hours and then taking my boys to Snowsnake to go tubing, but everybody said it was too cold.
Plus, I'm going to Snofari next weekend and figured it would be a good idea to save a little cash. Not to mention I didn't want to risk anything before next weekend. Jim almost had me convinced to go, but, I haven't had any problems in a loooong time and now wouldn't be a good time to start.
