I was working on redoing my D44 axle to 8 Lug and rebuilding as I go. Due to recent turn of events I am going to sell this axle preferably complete. I am willing to deliver with the help in gas or can meet part way.
The nitty gritty . . . '79 D44 3.55 open ratio. Shafts are pulled and I have 2 new spicer 5-297 non greasable joints for them. No retaining clips however. I was in the process of going 8 lug and have almost everything for the swap from a 78 F250. I have good 8 lug spindles, bearings cleaned and packed in premium redtac grease, 8 lug caliper mounts cleaned and painted black. The hubs are cleaned and painted also but need lug studs installed. Spindle bearing, seal, calipers, rotors, and lockouts are needed yet. The stock locking hubs are junk. Ball joints and TRE's with draglink still attached are all stock. Feel tight but I was going to replace them before installing this axle. The brake lines will need replaced also. I have F250 dual calipers also to cover the core charges. I also have the original 5 lug hubs and caliper mounts if someone would prefer to have it 5 lug again. I sold the spindles however a while ago.
I have $100 in the 8 lug stuff conversion stuff, $30 in the new ujoints. I would prefer to keep this together as a package deal but I will part it out in one weeks time.
$175 OBO takes it all and I'll get pics tomorrow . . . to cold out and 4 am is coming fast.
