I'm going to litter my front yard with overdraft fee notices from my bank, and then complain to the township if I get a fine for trashing my yard.

See if you qualify for works perks from National City. I use Nat City and have two direct deposits set up. I get 2k overdraft protection for free. It treated like a loan, not transfered from your savings.

If it was a one time thing I am sure the bank would cover it for you, but It sounds like you have an overdraft problem (even with previous banks) and you feel it is the banks responsibility to pay for your mistakes.
If you don't have the money, don't write the check. In less time then it took you to make this post you could balance your checkbook.

I just called chase and they said to use payday loan services, as they're both friendly, and legit.

i cannot figure out for the life of me why we are having financial problems in this country. Maybe it is the lack of money in needs to be greater than money out. pretty simple math.

because once in awhile people actually have decent advice. i ignore the bullshit cuz i really don't care what people have to say about me. 99.999% of the people on here don't know me so what do i care what they think?

FWIW national city is completely converting to PNC bank which i had in NJ for a short time and they sucked even worse. they won't work with you, customer service is of no help.

this year the day before thanksgiving day i ran out of money due to bills having to be paid or they do something called turning the service off...but you rich folks have never been in that situation before apparently. anyways i called national city and asked for a grace period before charging me overdraft fees cuz i had $300 cash to put in the bank friday morning. know what they said. sorry can't help you have a nice day...real customer service would have said yea let me see if i can do anything about it.

Use a local bank, that way you can go talk to someone in person when you have an issue. People are more willing to help you out when you are sitting at their desk in person.

Secondly, keep better track of your accounts, there's no reason to be unknowingly overdrawing your account when it takes 20 seconds to check balances online. Don't expect people do be sympathetic when you can't keep simple shit in order.

I suggest staying away from any of the "big" banks they will screw you over one way or another. Go with a local Credit Union

I use National City.
Love them.
Never an issue with them.
