My SPX doesn't get a speedometer, but yea i've heard that all seadoo speedometers are WAY off. I'll have to do the GPS thing this summer to see what it really gets up to.

Doesn't an RX have a 951 motor in it, the same that is in your GSX?

Also what mods are on your ski?

thats great, you've only wheeled that one once though, not every spring as you inferred.

Yes, the RX's have the 951s in them. I believe the 00-01 RX's you could have either the 951cc carbureted motor or the 951cc DI motor. But on the 02-03 were DI only. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I've got the Silver carbureted 951cc in mine.

As for the go fast mods mine has:
Prok air filters with prok pre filters
re jetted
Carbon Tech Reeds
Rossier Head
Solas 15/20 Concord impeller
Skat-Trak pump (I forget which ones)
R&D Sponsons (took them off, they grabbed to much in the chop)
R&D intake grate
My next mod is a R&D Intake Manifold

I haven't had the GPS on it in a while so I'm not sure how fast it'll go now. I'm guessing 66ish.? It pulls pretty hard off the line.

i bet that thing rips! I've bought mine with an R&D intake grate, and a Solas impeller (don't know which one) I would like to add some worx sponsons or a extended ride plate this year.

For the acceleration aspect can't beat 2 smokes off the line.

Yes, many times I am. But when you've owned a 10+ year old boat for one season, theres no guaruntee that the other 90% of the time the thing was stored indoors and wheeled out "every" spring.

with that said the boats pretty clean for it's age, looks nice.

I have a 1993 Thompson open bow with a 4.3L Mercruiser/Alpha Outdrive..

I put a new floor and stringers in it and spent some decent coin on new interior. I'm in the process of putting some Vortec Heads, 4 barrel intake and carb on her. Nothing special, my first boat but I like it.
