Default my old posts

just a quick question regarding the mods' opinions that i thought everyone should see.

if i have an old post, like one in the wanted section where there was no constructive discussion and i never got the part i was looking for

-or-

one in the for sale section where a price was never negotiated to the point where it would help anyone else to reference it, and i've given up on selling it.

questions is, is it beneficial to you guys that users go back and delete their own posts like this or is there a reason they should be left?

if its a stale wanted post, or a for sale post that is no longer active, simply report the post as "sold or found"

i understand the concept behind the completed sales thread, and i don't know if you guys screen to decide what to delete and what to put in there.

i was just curious if the thread did not and will not have any benefit to myself or anyone else, if there was any harm in deleting it. i'm new i know, i just didn't know if it was one of those things i shouldn't do.
