push the 55-year-old stroke victim from the Super K Liquor Store on Woodward Avenue to the Sagano Motel where she was staying Monday evening.

The woman, who was staying at the motel with the help of Lighthouse of Oakland County, which is an agency that provides help to the needy

cigarettes, a $6 bottle of vodka and $10 in cash from her.

either way, she didnt deserve it.

"When the teens got to the motel, police said they tipped her over and stole cigarettes, a $6 bottle of vodka and $10 in cash from her. The teens left the woman overturned on the road as she screamed out for help, police said.

The woman, who was staying at the motel with the help of Lighthouse of Oakland County, which is an agency that provides help to the needy, was not injured, but she was shaken up."

Sounds like excellent use of her limited income.

the fact that they did what they did is the point, not that she was buying vodka and smokes, that is a whole different argument.

How do these thugs wake up in the morning and think this stuff up.

it's very possible she was a relatively new participant in: http://www.lighthouseoakland.org/path.php

Quote:
Time is one of the most valuable commodities that PATH provides homeless mothers and their children. Expecting these struggling women to move from the streets to success over night is not realistic. Attaining an education takes time. Developing job skills takes time. Gaining confidence, self-respect and the ability to achieve independence all take time.
It's also not mentioned as heavily on their site as it used to be, but they used to focus on abused/battered women and children.

In the past, this local charity was one the many that Oakland County Exec, L. Brooks Patterson focused fund raising and charitable gifting efforts on - including food drives, and causal day fund donations.

I digress though, as was pointed out, regardless of what she was carting around with her, the assailants deserve to be tried and punished.

Crimes like this are why cruel and unusual punishment should be allowed. Let the punishment fit the crime. If 2 wastes of life will knock over a paralyzed woman, rob her, and leave her in the street, break their legs and send them to a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. Tell the other inmates there's weed, cigarettes, and cash in their asses.
