The one time someone happends to leave their minor child in a car to run into the store, some asshat will call the police because a child is left alone in a car. One hell of a mess to get into when all you want is to buy a 6pk and can't becuase of an over-reacted store policy. You probably think BS, but I'm sure it's happened somewhere, more times than once. Stores are there for buisiness. A person of age should be able to purchase items without worrying about if the person they are with is of age or not.

Besides, who the fukc underage goes into the store with their damn buyer????????

who is going to call the police about a teenager sitting alone in a car outside of a store?

Now if you think I said to leave a baby alone in the car, then I seriously hope you dont have any.

Or you could refer to the next sentence in that statement you quoted...wait to buy the stuff till you can go alone. If you cannot wait, you have bigger issues, and need help.

Lady at miejers in Oxford tried to take my beer from me after I paid for it cause we were "to loud" she said. I told her I paid for it already and to get bent. Everytime I go in there I wave and "say" hi to her, she gets pissy

The gas station I go to when I need to buy kerosene will not sell to anyone unless the container is blue. I had a yellow can I painted blue, and some of the paint was coming off. They refused to sell me any kerosene with that container. I took it to the fire dept, and talked to the chief there, who laughed and said there was more blue paint on mine then there was on his, but that doesnt mean they have to sell me any kerosene.
They wont even accept a clear container that says Kerosene on it, like the ones you see at TSC and Home Depot. If it isnt 100% blue, they wont sell you any kerosene. I just went and bought a blue container, problem solved.
Fuel containers are suposed to be color coded, or clearly labeled, but thier policy is to follow the color code only.

Seriously people, learn to pick your battles. Yelling at an employee is only going to make you look like an ass, give them a bad day, and not acomplish anything other then making everyone involved pissed off. Who knows, maybe that cashier already dealt with one asshat that day that was yelling at them for the same reason.
I've had good luck with it, and I remain civil when I do it. If they cannot show you that it is a store policy in writing or a state law, how can just saying it is policy make it true?

It is as valid as telling people to accept refusal of service because a cashier told them it is company policy not to sell to people wearing member's only jackets.

In your case you give, there are rules CLEARLY POSTED about kerosene containers that a clerk misunderstood; the person didn't pull the container color rule seemingly out of their ass (no posted verbiage visible anywhere).

Way to be a dick towards the people who are doing their job the way they have to. You should really screw over CVS and take some of the junk from your front yard and dump it in their parking lot
