Default Chrysler Pacifica?

The wife and I are looking at a 2006 Pacifica AWD touring.
It has the 3.5 engine and interior is loaded.

Who else has one? How do you like it?

Any feedback would be appreciated

Thanks, Dan

Parents had one. It hauls ass for a crossover and handles extremely well too. Mileage wasn't too bad either.

I had one for my wife a while back, she loved it except she is short and that made the blind spots bad for her backing up. I fit well even in the back seat.

My wife has one ('04 AWD), she really likes it. Some have an oil consumption problem (quart every 1000 miles), mine doesn't seem to be that bad.

About 20 MPG highway, not sure around town. We've had it about 2 years, personally I would have rather had a minivan but this was a nice compromise between a sedan and a van.

For what it's worth heres a link a Pacifica forum.

Good Luck

Drivers seat were very comfortable. Only complaint were the back passenegers seats. A road trip from Michigan to Florida for anyone over 5' is slightly uncomfortable.

Side Note: I believe ours got about 26mpg.

I had one as a loaner while the XJ was getting some body work done. I didn't like it at all and referred to it as the Vista Cruiser while I had it. FWIW I am very short and I think that might be part of the reason that it was undesirable for me to drive.

The one we're looking at has leather and the seats are very comfy. I'm 5'10 and I thought the rear leg room was good, although I only rode in the back for about 2 miles. we also looked at a '05 Pontiac Montana (used to own a '01) and also a '06 Ford Freestyle. The Pacifica seems to be a better
built vehicle. We're going to go back Saturday and maybe make an offer on it.

How short are you? One of my friends has owned 3 of them, very happy with them. He's 5'4" and his wife is 4'11".

I'm 5'2", I felt like I was in a submarine. I would never purchase one.

Most cars are made for people 5'8", (happens to be my height) and the tall sides on crossovers would seem to be a bit much for shorter drivers. My friend's wife would adjust the seat all the way up so she could see out of the car. She liked the feeling of being surrounded by sheetmetal.

I have a hard time getting in and out of our Benz 190E without moving the seat all the way back, then adjusing it back forward to drive. I can't imagine anyone over 6' driving one.

i see very little problems with the pacifica at work. some do consume oil but ive only seen that with the 3.5. the 4.0 lt is quick but dont be surprised if your not happy with the MPG's but ohter then that i think you'll be very happy with it. oh, and that blind spot at that huge D pillar is a bitch if your sorta short, i'm tall so it doesn't botther me. enjoy

Yeah, I noticed the mpg's before we even bought the car. But it still get better mileage than my suburban. My wife is 5' 8" and she doesn't complain about any blind spots.
