Default refinishing guns

anyone else into reblueing and refinshing guns? i just started this hobby and ive done three guns so far. im now working on a remington model 11 16 ga that was my grandpas and is a 1946.this is a browning a5 from what i have gathered. i had this gun done once and when the house burned down is got under some water and some melted goodies on it. right now i have it soaking to i can finish tearing her down. any tips? im taking my time on this one i want it to be nice

Do you have any links to a website for refinishing? I want to refinish some of my dad's guns, he had quite an obsession with a5's and I want to do them right.

I'd be careful doing something like an old browning, or anything that has collector value. Alot of times you ruin the value if you remove the original finish.

I like A5s! I'd like a sweet 16 some day.....

the model 11 is a knock off of the sweet 16. the gun is a remington but is stamped browning aswell and uses all the same parts. this gun isnt worth but 300 in good shape and its trashed. ill post up some pics i forgot to take a before pic. right now i have it soaking in some hoppes to get the retaining pin out of the bolt so i can get workin
