The mounds is much better than what it use to be. I feel you will like it just fine to tool around and test out your rig. Be very cautious of the water holes.

Beware of stuff like this happening (leave the Jeep out if it, the point isn't that a Jeep gets stuck):

I tried to go around and I slid right into it. It was sunny and 20 degrees outside without the windchill, and I forgot to bring my boots. Watch for ice too, breaking through into a mudhole is not fun IMO.

the mounds can be a lot of fun it you are the type of driver that pushes their rig no matter what the terrain is.

maybe if you don't know where to go.

I've watched Casey roll his buggy there 4 times in 3 hours. I can have fun with my buggy there for 3 hours no problem.

i feel like everything is to small or to big. either sink and drive underwater or roll through a 3 inch deep mud puddle.

Is that Keith's truck? That was a bad day for the guy in front of him not to wait for him to catch up.

mounds is a good place to go on days it's not crowded. i like to go during the week or even on a saturday as it's open 8 am till sundown, and usually only bikers and quads go on saturdays. BUT always go with another vehicle and have a winch for the deep shit. been there countless times and i always have fun.
