Thumbs up Midas Muffler in Benton Harbor review

So I just finished my SBC swap on my CJ and had another exhaust shop (Muffler Man) put the new exhaust on. Terrible terrible work, to the point they used the wrong sized pipe and just filled the gaps with shitty welds.

So, I had a recommendation to the Midas shop down the street. They cut out the old stuff that was all kinds of kinked and re built the exhaust system. Came out amazing. sw_mi_xj was the guy over there that did the work. Super awesome job.

Seems like maybe there could be some money made if somebody actually had a good reputation for doing great exhaust work. I rarely (actually never) here of anyone who does great exhaust work. But, then again, maybe to be good at it, it's not worth it.

WOW , guess i should wander through here more often .

well i hadn't thought about it , but could use the cash .
if i had tubing / a bender / welder / chop saw / lift to use , it could be arranged .

labor intensive jobs like custom exhaust cant make the $ like a quick brake job . these days , quantity has taken precedent over quality .

so yeah , there just isn't room ( there ) for a tech with 30 years experience that cares more about doing something right than Right Now .
