Why would you ever admit to anything? There are things I have hit that I will never tell my husband.

Scrapped them, if I would have known ya wanted them I would have gave them to you. Call Tuffy in GR Fuller street, that's the place we got new tires at and they have the old ones.

We went and bought the 4 new Cooper discoverer ST's...I know these are good tires because I had them before.

I've only used BFG's on my Daily drivers for the last 14+ years.
Mud terrains, All terrains, Rugged trail, have yet to have any issue other than a nail or 2 going through the tire causing a leak

Not trying to back up BFG A/T's, but I had a set on my ranger with 2 nails in my front driverside tire, 2 in my read driverside, and 1 in my passenger side, and they all held air, they were great, my dad had them, his friends had them and were all happy with them and recently bought a new set. I have had no problems with them, but maybe I was just lucky. I now have a set of Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac, and love them, they are very nice tires have a little over 100 miles on them so cant tell you how they wear, but they ride about as rough as the BFG A/T's and go through some snow, havent been able to test them in the mud due to the snow, but that is what the spring is for!

I just sent her to get some new Cooper ST's...IMO a far better tire, I had them before and they take a lickin and keep on tickin. 4 new tires $530 installed with road hazzard. Tires is the last thing I want worry about when she has all the kids doing 70mph down the highway!
thanks for yet another fuckin stuiped public service announcement

My truck came with Uniroyal Tiger Paws and I had terrible luck with them. One tire had a belt seperate. 2 others got bubbles in them. I will never buy a Uniroyal tire as long as I live.

On the other hand I switched to BFG A/Ts and have had nothing but luck...even buying a used set for the wife's Jeep. I have had them on my truck over 15 years and on my Jeep since I bought it in 2003 and have never had a flat or tread seperation or bubble or any problem whatsoever. I'm sorry to hear that you got a bad one.

On my previous DD I had a pair of BFG Traction TA's.... I wasn't impressed with how they held up. They wore fine and always balanced well, but they didn't live up to their name after 20k miles on them. Come on, a 3800 fwd Grandma car shouldn't be able to break them loose shifting to 2nd!

The All-terrain KO's that were on my gf's truck were great though. Hell, even when two wore funny, we put them on a derby car and had a blast.

I've been thinking about getting a set of AT's for the truck, or potential winter beater yet to be procured, but I can't say I'll run their all-season/passenger car tires again.

What size ST's did you end up with, Disturban? Mine ran 800, but 255-85's aren't common. I have no complaints about them after 8k, except they don't make them in E-range.

As many have mentioned I am sure:

You buy used tires and have a problem and blame the manufacturer?

I can't stand the tread pattern on a BFG A/T so I will never buy them. Just Fugly, that is all.

Sorry about your bad luck. I put new BFG AT's on my GC in 2004 (due to the advice of folks on the old Mich Jeepr board). I rotate them twice a year. Five years later, they are like brand new. When I bought them, the tire gremlin told me that if I rotated them twice a year, they'd last forever. If not, they might last two years. He's been right so far.

On BfG tires, Bought 4 NEW at's for my 97 F350, 2 weeks later 3 were going flat with no trace of a leak. The local dealer finally sent them back to the manufacturer who also (bullshit) did not know why they were leaking but, Would exchange them for a set of 35x12.50-16 MT's. 3 weeks on the MT's before an air pocket the size of a softball appeared in the middle of the sidewall. In the end I had my money back to buy a set of Pro comp MT's and all was good. My contribution to a worthless thread.
