Default Will never buy BFG's again!

I bought my wife some used BFG A/T's about 6 weeks ago, they had about 80% tread on them and was in good shape, held air and balanced nice. Well last night she comes home and says one of them is leaking so I go look and there was wire strands sticking out of the tire where a belt broke. I just sent her to get some new Cooper ST's...IMO a far better tire, I had them before and they take a lickin and keep on tickin. 4 new tires $530 installed with road hazzard. Tires is the last thing I want to worry about when she has all the kids doing 70mph down the highway!

USED- that's the problem, the PO could have bashed a curb pretty good breaking the belts, without any serious sidewall rash (Think head on)

So you buy used tires with lord knows how many miles, and then get pissed at the manufacturer because a belt broke? Who knows how many times the PO curbed the tires or whatever else...

mR

EDIT: shit beat me to it.

Coopers are awesome.Got the stt's on my wifes truck.Bf's aren't bad but occasionally you get one of those retarded tires.I had the same issue with a broken band internally had a huge bulge on one side of the tread.$530 is a good price. What size did you get?

I doubt you will find many better tires out there than the BFG A/T for truck use.

Yes they was used but not that used, like I said they had a good 80% tread and came on aluminum wheels that did not show any signs of curb damage...even if someone did hit a curb with one IMO they should hold up they are an off road tire and supposed to handle some abuse.

I WILL NEVER BUY USED BFG'S AGAIN!!!

You just have to pour some coke on the meat. That will get rid of the worms.
