Side project going on, should be back on it soon. Seats are in.

I am working on cleaning out the garage today, so I put it on some rollers and moved it out for some sunshine. This is about where bump will be. There is about 15.5" under the frame as it sits on 33s.

38" skinny bogger in the back.

Getting the required head room makes the cage kinda tall. Hopefully it goes from ugly duckling to lanky teenager as we fill in the bars.

Lower the side bars and raise the roof bars to make it look lower if it bothers you.

We talked about making the roof a bump up, but decided against it since it would add a lot of bends in a part of the structure we really want to hold up if the need arises.

I guess it's all just a matter of compromises. We didn't want to lower the seats in the tub and make visibility over the hood worse than stock. And to meet the rules of at least 3" of clearance between helmet and cage, we needed to it to be this high. We actualy have an extra inch in there to make up for cage padding and not wanting to be right at the limit since it's our heads.

I think it also looks out of proportion since we boat sided the tub, making the body side even shorter than stock.

I picked up 5 used Allied 17x9 beadlock wheels. I have been wanting to get the 35" Generals that we got from bigbchevy mounted up on something, but couldn't find a reasonable set of used wheels until last week.

The Generals are 1.5" taller than the 33" BFG M/T rollers we had on there.

i think the fact that it is at full bump makes the cage look even taller too imo

Full house tonight in the garage. Jeepm715, pwrwgn, and AlumCJ were all over tonight knocking out some cage.

The engine, trans, and t-case were all pulled so that we could get the trans over to Tranny Tom. Hopefully it's as easy as checking to make sure it has a clean bill of health and throwing in a shift kit.

Axles were supposed to go across town to get gears installed, but we kinda got busy with the cage instead.

As we hoped, the cage is looking better as more bars get added.

Cool project. I don't think I've ever seen a Jeep that has been through so many variations.
