Last night we realized we didn't have inner seals to finish up the job. So I'll grab them today and finish it up when I get to them. With the Stage 8 spindle nuts it's pretty quick; not worth loading and unloading.

The list is getting short for what we need to do.

1. Repack front bearings
2. Finish up window net installation (need latches)
3. Install external GPS antenna (showed up yesterday)
4. Spare power steering box mount - will be mounting on the tool tray in the back
5. Build spare pitman arm
6. Wire 2-way radio (need large crimps, they recommend going direct to battery)
7. Reinstall battery box lid
8. Mount tires - on the lake bed
9. Apply 4517 stickers - don't have yet, not sure when we get...

There might be something else on there, but I think that's it. Also need to pack the trailer with tools and spare parts.

Thanks to Raceline wheels we will be picking up two more Allied 17x8 beadlock wheels on the lake bed. This gets us to our target of 6 Goodyear MT/Rs on 6 Allied beadlocks to make it through the week. We will also take one or two spare spares in case of emergency (bald tires on non-beadlock wheels).

Thanks for the offer DJ, but the list is down to stuff that either we are waiting on, or is stuff that Jesse or I will knock out in a casual evening. Unless you want to rebuild the hubs. LOL

Aren't you competitors? Or does that 5 vs. 6 mean something?

Plus how can you guys stand trusting somebody to do a good job on fixing/building the littlest thing? I can't imagine the coin pouring into these rigs just to get out there to compete, to trust someone enough to turn a wrench on it... it isn't something I could do.

We were competitors in TREC, and we never had any problem lending a hand, or trading parts (although the aluminum rims didn't work out for Casey). We are in different classes at KOH, so not really competing. That said, we will do our best to come in ahead of him if at all possible, lol.

I've seen the camaraderie in racing competitors. Most want to beat the other guy on the course, not screw him over in the garage. 2 years ago at KOH we discovered at the last minute that we needed a long metric bolt for an alternator bracket alignment mod. 10:00 at night I started going from tent to tent asking for a bolt. I had people (competitors) stop their own wrenching and start digging with flashlights in trailers for the part. No one bitched, said fukc you or anything of the sort. Instead, when they didn't have the bolt, they pointed me to someone they thought might have it and wished me luck. A half hour (or more) later, I finally landed said bolt. I tried to pay for it and was told no way, good luck, hope to see you tomorrow. True racers are good people.

RE wrenching on the neither pretty nor skinny rig, they BEG for help. After all, they even ask me to help.

It will have to be next week John. I'll have it at Snofari this weekend. I spent better than an hour last night looking for the charger with no luck. You may have to use the standard battery pack.

Ok, sounds like a plan.

Casey - yeah, we are Chevy 1/2-ton front and rear. We do run 3/4-ton pads in front, but can drop to 1/2-tons if need be.

Got a new bad ass sway bar from PAC racing. The sparkle blue powder coat is so cool I wish it was visible when mounted.

Cut the center out of the tube, who needs it.

Found the charger.

Do you need the shop for loading up? What night? I can give you the radio then or you can buy lunch.

Should be able to do Wednesday. You planning to do the hubs once it's on the trailer at eye level?
