They are a machined slug, welded into a chromo dom tube. They make them for drag racing/street car applications, we are a test bed for Jeeps

Interesting. Is it the same style Colville had on his rig when I last saw it a year and a half ago? Or is it the less bling version ?

Only 3 B class so far, but we did qualify in 1st with no 1st gear.

Tranny Tom provided some phone troubleshooting and we are back to 4 gears today. Thanks Tom!

We finished 3rd of 3, but Jesse got a plaque.

The race was 6 laps. We made it 1.75 by the time first and second were done.

Start was single file and we went off first in B-class. We got off the line quick and caught up to the last C-class rig (unlimited) who was telling a rec wheeler to get off the course.

We got to a trail named Trouble and started the slide down. The trail is stupid steep and muddy from the rain on Friday night. Midway down is a rock that protruded into the trail. As we slid down Jesse just caught the rock and it jerked the wheel out of his hands. When he grabbed the wheel he realized we had no power steering.

We still had one downhill with a tight turn at the bottom so we pulled off and checked the box to find we had cracked the cap.

Jesse pulled the jeep apart and I walked back to the pits to get our spare box and pitman piller. Going down was easy, but dragging the box up the mountain damn near killed me.

We got the box installed and took off and we bent a rim that caused a flat about 5 minutes later. We finished the first lap in 3 hours.

We stopped at the pits and had lunch while we got a fresh spare.

Second lap we were moving pretty good until the lower rock garden. We bounced the rear driveshaft off a rock and must have snapped the tang off the axle yoke. We did not know it happened until we were dropping off Little Jagger and heard a bang clang. By time we stopped the drive shaft hand fallen out of the car.

As we stood there, the B class winner drove by on his final lap.

Game over. We did weld a washer to the yoke and got a few hours of night wheeling in.

New PAC sway bar worked great.
