Long day today. JeepM715 and I were in the garage from about 9:30am until 11:30pm. His brother and nephew were here from 10am to 5pm. We got a ton of shit done, with a big thanks to Tranny Tom for getting the trans rebuild done so we could get the drivetrain in.

As we left it tonight. The engine harness is mostly plugged in. Only the MAF, O2's, starter, and I think the crank sensor (whatever it is behind the starter) need to be plugged in. Now I have to finish up the PCM wiring and sort out what's left of the pink wires that used to run through the chassis connector.

It's hard to see in the pic, but the stock 6.0 van air box is tucked in on the pass side where the battery used to mount. This will let us pull in outside air as the air box inlet points outward. JeepM715 chopped off the resonator portion of the air box and is making a plug to put in place. Just need a few elbows and we'll be connected up the throttle body.



Fuel cell mount coming together. One piece will bolt from b-pillar cross bar to the front of the fuel cell, and 2 pieces will bolt on the spare tire rub bar.



Battery will be have posts facing the fire wall and will be put into a battery box since it's ugly as sin. The plan is to make a flat dash across to mount gauges in, and then drop a center console off it to mount switches and shifter in since the dash will not be reachable with the seat belts on and tightened up for a race.



Steering shaft has been extended and hooked up. We've got the AN fittings so we can plumb it all in.

We also figured out the winch mount. It's not exactly how we though it would be, but I think it will all work out.

Hey feva4u - I shipped the PCM to frost to have it tuned and it won't be locked when we get it back. He will be deleting the extra emissions, and the standard spark/timing maps and WOT fueling adjustment. I'll let you know how he works out.

Too tired to grab the camera and upload photos, but another night of great progress.

JeepM715 brought over a winch mount for my old 8274 and chopped it into the front bumper. It looks pretty bad ass and allows for more air flow than with the Warn Zeon winch mounted above the bumper would have allowed.

White Rhino stopped by and installed the gas pedal and started working on the trans cooler mount. It is going to sit on top of the fuel cell to keep it reasonably protected. It's got a fan on it, so it should be able to pull enough air for itself. If not, we will have to add some ducting.

The fuel cell is mounted and so is the air box. We need a 45* elbow and two 90* elbows to connect it up.

Anybody know how hard it is to turn the upper radiator hose mount in the water pump? We think we can get the air hose above it, but we might need to turn it.

Hey, I put the throttle cable on too. I would have gotten more done if you 2 hadn't kept wanting to talk about how cool the winch mount looks.

I got the return tracking number for the ECM. I've got to bust ass on the wiring and engine plumbing.
