Default 'Rents LJ build

My parents are some of the best people that exist on this Earth, hell they have put up with my dumb ass for 30 years without ever seriously trying to get rid

About 2 years ago my dad picked up a Jeep LJ and started to get the standard jeep sickness. The LJ is currently stock and is slated to get a bunch of goodies to improve its capabilities without going overkill.

This Jeep is mainly fun toy for my parents, seeing mostly road time but I'm hoping it will see some Silver Lake sand and light trail rides. My parents have never been "offroad".

Build plan:

DPG Offroad Ultimate OME suspension lift: Old man emu springs and shocks 2", 1.25" body lift, brown dog motor mounts, jks discos and jks front & rear track bars. Also installing a Rustys offroad HD TJ steering kit and extended brake lines.

Wheels and tires are new JK Rubicon takeoffs that I picked up at AEV. Using Synergy adapter wheel spacers.

Additionally it's getting an ARB Quadratec ARB "stubby" bull bar, IPF lights and a Warn 9.5si winch with synthetic rope and a Factor 55 thimble. Rear bumper will be a JCR Vanguard bumper without tire carrier.

Most everything has been ordered and is on the way. I haven't told my dad about the arb bumper :) once I finish installing the lift I'll suprise him with the bumper, winch and lights.

Additionally the next round of upgrades will be a rubi 44 front with Detroit true track limited slips front and rear, a flat belly skid and a full set of control arms.

Hopefully you're getting wheel adapters too as the JK is 5x5 and TJ's are 5x4 1/2.

BTW, no current pics.

Yep wheel adapters have been ordered but are on backorder till next week. Pics added. I also want to install a set of factory Rubicon rocker guards. I'll also go through all my old TJ parts and add them to the mix. The Warn winch has been cleaned up and repainted.

Once the parts arrive the whole install should only take a lazy Saturday to install. This Jeep is pretty rust free, originally from Kentucky. Motor mounts, body lift, shocks and front bumper removal are the only "challenging" parts. That said anything can happen while ripping shit apart

Installed the JKS 1.25" body lift and brown dog motor mounts. Everything went smoothly and nothing unexpected was encountered. Of course the tcase linkage is all wonky but that's normal and will be replaced with a cable shifter.

Next up is to install the OME 2.5" lift. I also need to order the new winch rope, factor 55 thimble, d-rings and a few other small items.
