I bought this for Jim and I the other day

I picked this up for a stocking stuffer for myself a few weeks ago

and thinking about buying a set of these for my Ram

I am also looking at getting a new TV for the bedroom, but need to wait until I am back in MI so I don't need to haul it home.

I have concealed carried in all of those places at one time or another. Truly, the only time I'm not carrying is if I am drinking, or going into a school or hospital.

Where do I get this stuff??? Where would any educated individual get information on laws; the state legislature of course!

THE MICHIGAN PENAL CODE (EXCERPT)
Act 328 of 1931

750.234d Possession of firearm on certain premises prohibited; applicability; violation as misdemeanor; penalty.

Sec. 234d.

(1) Except as provided in subsection (2), a person shall not possess a firearm on the premises of any of the following:

skipping to pertinent part...

(h) An establishment licensed under the Michigan liquor control act, Act No. 8 of the Public Acts of the Extra Session of 1933, being sections 436.1 to 436.58 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

Then, subsection (2) as listed above as an exception states

2) This section does not apply to any of the following:

again, skipping to pertinent part...

(c) A person licensed by this state or another state to carry a concealed weapon.

THAT, I guess, is where I get this "stuff"; I guess is by "stuff" you mean LAWS!!!

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(5lw...e=mcl-750-234d

BTW, I am unemployed, I have a plethora of free time; let me know where you want to go to lunch and I will meet you there. I'll be easy to find, I will be the one sitting at the bar, having an iced tea, LEGALLY open carrying a Beretta 92D. Oh wait, that WAS me a couple weeks ago at Olive Garden in Auburn Hills dining with my wife!

So, to get this post BACK on topic, if you want to debate the legality of open and/or concealled carry we can start a new post.

Also, to the OP, I have not bought myself anything yet for Christmas.

first off you were in violation many times if you carryed in all those places...second your CPL doesn't allow you to carry in a bar so knocks out the law that says you can carry it open in a bar...Olive Garden doesn't count as a bar more than 51% of thier sales are for food not booze...I dont suggest you try and push your limits...because it is clear that you dont really understand the laws that you are reading...many laws are on the books that are the oppisite of each other. So when open carry laws states you can carry into a bar openly if you have a CPL, but your CPL laws say you cannot carry in a bar...guess what you cannot open carry in there either even though you think you understand a law you just read that said you could...but if you must try and let us know what happens...I suggest you dont

Your CPL prohibits you from Carrying Concealed in a "bar" but it does not regulate the OC of a firearm. It has already been cited that the OC restrictions do not apply to a person with a CPL. There is even an attorney general opinion on this if you want more......

considering buying a V-snake wireless boroscope (the deluxe model)

http://www.wirelessvsnake.com/

not real impressed with the Snap On digital boroscope I have now, but I was thinking about upgrading it to the newer model (that they came out with shortly after I bought the one I have)...mainly because my Snap On deler told me he would give me full purchase price for trade in on the new model...then I found the wireless one...

I like fancy tools...confuses the hell out of my boss when I show him the inside of a control valve or something without even taking anything apart. He really looks like a deer in the headlights when I have a scan tool hooked up.
