Default WARN LOCKOUTS 2000 Excursion?

has anyone had problems with these?

I put a set on my buddys truck a month and aparently they are smoked.
just wondering if anyone has had a problem with them on these vehicles.

Ive never had a problem with warn until now.
and I will continue to use them just seems odd to me.

I sell I'm guessing a set a month at work, plus what the other parts guys sell, and don't think I have seen one set come back in 1.5 years.
