I took 2 Drake Mallards in monroe on sunday... Seen a lot more but they were in large groups and would'nt come back around to my decoys, they were on a mission somewhere south, I also got rained on for four hours straight, that was fun. I'm going again this coming sunday, Hopefully i dont get soaked this time.

I think we ended up with about 75 birds for the season between 2 guys. Never got skunked one time but the most we ever shot in a day was 6. Not a bad year but not our best either.

Have definitely noticed it has been slower than usual. We hunt in the south zone and saw alot of geese flying high and fast and few ducks besides the native woodies. I have heard from a few people on michigan duck hunter assoc. that the warm weather has slowed down migration quite a bit. Kind of sucks with less than a week left in the season.

It may make for a good couple of days during the late season though. I know late season last year there were a lot of birds around.

Yeah I am hoping so. Need to have some luck. I am still seeing tons of geese flying over here in holland. Might have to suck it up and deal with the tod farm this year...
