I wouldn't. My GL password doesn't work on my phone.

Would the PM also go to the recipient's GL Inbox? That's another issue I would have with it, as I would not be able to save it if it didn't and I keep all records of my transactions on the respective site that the transaction originated on for reference. I don't even take deals to email.

Why would you go to a PC, log in, and send a PM to someone's phone instead of just texting them in the first place (since you already have the number)?

A text message notification that you have a new PM might be a nice option. Much easier to read that than to log in to email or GL from your phone while driving and drinking coffee.

i think whats hes asking is if when its sent to his inbox, if it can somehow be configured to be forwarded to his phone as a general text message. that way it would still be in his GL inbox, and he can get the texts on his phone weather hes at work or wherever NOT close to a pc...

No, that's what I asked. He didn't say anything about a copy.

Like Facebook-- You get the message sent to you as a text on your phone and also in your Facebook Inbox, if you set it that way.

Mark- this is what I was talking about. As sweetLeah said, facebook does it, and that is where I go the idea from. I don't have internet on my phone, so just the pms would be great.

Actually, this is very easy to do on my end.

The downside: Some service has to send the text messages. There are two ways to go, one is with a free service, but ads come with the texts which is really annoying. The other way to go is with a legit pay to use service but those cost upwards of $300 a month for a large quantity of textings.

Maybe if there were 11 ripped guys per page, it would pay for it.

Wow. No ads is better. I guess we will just have to wait.

Can you get emails on your phone? I just set it up where it emails me if i get a pm, My phone checks for new emails every 10 mins or something i think. You cant reply to it via email i dont think but it still lets you know you have one so you can get to a computer and check it. Or in my case i just log on here via my phone.

I just wish the e-mail would show the text of the private message. I know the issue is people replying to the e-mail, but I wish this were a user option. It's nice to know whether I should waste the time logging in to check something important or unimportant. It interrupts my video game playing.

I have gmail sent to push emails to my iphone. I get emails about 30 seconds after gmail receives them.

Is an SMS message different than a text? I think when facebook updates come to me via text it's an SMS message.

I don't know about other carriers, but I could set my email address on here to my 989245XXXX@vzwpix.com and recieve a copy of the dispatched email. Is there an option to have notification sent to two addresses?

That's true. AT&T uses I believe your cell number @txt.att.net, I can verify this. If need be.
