Default Fuel Pump Check?

I welded a new bumper up for the rear of my Sonoma last night, and now I think my fuel pump is dead.

I disconnected the negative terminal before I started welding anything, but it died on me and just cranks over. I have spark and it cranks fine, but I don't hear the pump actually running now. I pushed the nozzle for checking fuel pressure and it sure looked like the standard 60 pounds (or whatever it is), tried priming the pump a few times, pushed it again, and not nearly as much sprayed out. Then I disconnected the fuel line before the filter and tried turning the pump on and no fuel came out of the line.

I replaced my pump about a year and a half ago, I can't imagine it would just go bad again already unless I fried something last night. I can't see one, but is there possibly an inline fuse somewhere for the fuel system? There is not one on the panel.

I would start by check the grounds on your frame. you may have caused a carbon spot on something if it was trying to arc accrossed.

Did yo pull the bed? Check the grounds.

And the aftermarket pumps suck and many have had them fail soon. So its possible.
