No sure if i like that set up, usually you use duck tape for that kind of work, it holds up in water better

jk like the project, can't wait to see more

so in the last week or so before christmas break at school i got busy on fabricating parts. with a little inginuity and some metal i made two of the brackets for my rear axle. it took the help of the guys at outback auto and a lot of grinding time but i got it accomplished. along with the brackets i got in the complete four link heim set, including bungs and jamnuts for $180.oo. once i get some money for steel i will begin the process of rebuilding my jeep with the custom back half.

the four link is down besides the small touch up welding, braces and gussets. tomorrow we start the cage on the back and hopefully a complete rolling chassis by the end of the weekend.

Are you going to tie that rear truss into anything? What size heims did you end up with? Chromoly? Can you get any closeups of the mounts on?

yeah the rear truss will be boxed in with 1/4 inch flat stock and welded to the pig. the heims came as a kit, but they are 3/4 inch shank and hole. they are just run of the mill steel. the link bars are 2 3/4 with a 1/2 inch wall. i will try to get some more close ups.
