I got a little work done to day.

Swapped out the spindals and brakes to a 5 lug set up.

then I ripped it all back apart.(I only installed the 5 lug stuff so I knew it would fit)

Then I started to pull the knuckles

But I gave up on the drivers side.(I will finish it sunday)

I think I might replace the u-joint sunday too

You might want to re-think that, the 1/2 ton calipers won't clear the 3/4-ton knuckles, and those dual-piston 3/4 ton calipers won't fit in a 15" wheel if the backspacing is more than 2 1/2" ish. You're going to need F-150 knuckles to use the F-150 hubs, rotors, and calipers. If you were planning on running Hysteer, you'll need Chevy/Jeep flat-top knuckles and small bearing spindles to run that stuff

I was informed that the 1/2 ton stuff would clear it. I will have to get some 1/2 ton calipers and find out. Thanks for the heads up.
I hope your wrong.

Well I would like to start off with SHIT! FUCK! DAMB IT!
My brakes dont fit.

The good news is that it looks like there is room to make them fit.(just a little grinding)

I got the brackets cut off the D44 today.

Then I got things cleaned up.

I took the u-joints out today too

I will never get used to the bang they make when they come out. they shot out at my wall like a gun.

Im going to put these in Wed.

After the pain is dry.

why man why? You should of got the spicers even with stock shafts, when those joints fail you risk the chance of taking out the shaft ears. You want those non greasable spicers joints. Like $30 a pop but worth it.

When these brake I will have a reason to upgrade shafts and u-joints. I blew out the spicer in my D30 (same size joint 297) And replaced it with these and they seem to be holding up fine.
But good lookin out

Well I put the new U-Joints in

Then I put the knuckles and brakes together(with the 5-lug stuff)

Now I need to get some more parts $$$ together. Then I can continue building the front Axle.

They were so rusty when they came out the caps broke and shit when all over. I think they were the original ones from 1979. I used the Ball joint removal tool from AutoZone. Its alot nicer that a big socket and the vise. (IMO)
