A 4.5-5" kit is recommended to ensure travel without rubbing. It will also look more in proportion in addition to the kit containing a more complete list of components vs. some coil spacers, etc.

I have a 5.5 suspension lift and it clears 35 with ease. Four should be plenty tho.

I had a 94 Ram 1500 and cleared 35s with only a 3" body lift (looked a lil stuffed). I also cleared 35s on my 99 Ram 2500 with 2.5" lift. And then I had 35"s on my 96 Ram 1500 with 8" lift . . . ha. It will definitely look the best with a 4-6" lift . . . and if your on a limited budget look at Rough Country lift kits on ebay they are excellant kits and at a good price. JMO
