Default NEED A RELIABLE 4wd for after surgery

I'm donating an organ to save another family members life. I have had some very bad luck with cars and I currently own a 1994 Ford Escort GT. A brake line broke and sent me straight through a red light(thank god everyone stopped). I fixed the brake line and am getting new pads and rotors just to be safe. What I am asking is that if someone has a 4wd vehicle that they aren't using is that they donate it or possibly trade it to me for my Escort plus cash. The car has only 141k original miles on a motor that is said to be able to go to 300k with regular maintenance. It needs some minor work such as a rear brake line that needs to be fixed(only the fronts are hooked up now) and it needs a clutch soon. It does not tick has no problems with the engine or anything like that, it is also just a little loud. The car is in primer, but the interior is decently nice with a nice sound system. I can't take a chance after surgery to be driving this car in the snow as I will have to go back and forth to the hospital a lot. The car regularly gets around 28 mpg mixed driving and a worst of 23 in stop and go. I would really like to have something like a Dodge Dakota 4x4 or a GMC Jimmy. It doesn't matter if it's older and has a carb. It just needs to be running good.
