Sorry if you already checked, but Army uses controllers too. If you wanted to do some gruntwork too, that use to be one of the MOS's they allowed into Pathfinder School after Air Assault school, and then you can work with SF and Rangers making LZ's.

I haven't looked yet... army and marines are last resort.

I wouldn't consider myself army or marines material.

If you are already saying this, then you should probably join the air force. Nancy Boy. Marine Corps isn't a job, its a way of life.

I wasn't referring to the physical part. I meant I have an IQ over 50, and i dont want to catch bullets for an MOS.

service to my country, full time job while getting paid to learn a skill, job security, family, tradition, pride... I tried college and didnt care for it.

I've talked to many people who go through the nuke program and after their 6 year enlistment they start working at 6 figures, or close to it. BTW, that would put me at the ripe old age of 25.

It's great to see somebody his age on here actually planning for the future instead of wandering aimlessly through life. If he plays his cards right, he's going to have all sorts of opportunities available to him.

As a Navy Nuc, I'll give some unsolicited information.
We are trying to up the total number of nucs. You should be able to get signed up, tell the recruiter to sign you up and to stop monkeying with the monthly throughput.
It is about 50 - 50 carrier to sub nucs, those numbers will be skewed when the Big E goes for decommissioning. This year was the first time that nucs didn't get a reenlistment bonus for about 2 months, the entire Navy didn't get them because of the economy. Nucs normally get the biggest bonus because of the job.
Feel free to come to the submarine force, maybe I'll see you on the deckplates.

I would like to see some of those 6 figure jobs, as an ex nuke I do not make that. I do OK though and my experience got me were I am.
