The chinese mig/plasma thread got me searching for a good set of torches and I stumbled across these.

Looks wayyyy better for patch panels in autobodies - not sure how well it would do welding - though they make it look pretty damn easy.

thats pretty sweet. i wonder how well it would work on that 1/2 bar with more material on each side of the cut though.

I saw these up at St. Ignace car show about two years ago. I told my dad about them so he bought two for his shop. They say they really like them.

He brought one home for me to use and with my very limited metal working experiance was able to make some very clean cuts on some steel of various thickness up to about 3/16. It was much easier to use than a regular torch. I did make some cuts on some thicker stuff just playing around and was still able to easily make the cut, but didn't make it as clean. I'm sure with some practice it would be doable though. Once I finally get a house, I plan to get one of my own. For the price, they are hard to beat. They can do anything a normal torch can, and more.
