In 1988 and 1989 chevy came out with k2500 3/4 ton with 6 lug pattern. The truck has a 14 bolt rear.

As for the gear ratio. I don't know, never checked. I could pop the cover off or if you know how to read the numbers in the glove box we can get it that way. I really don't want to pop the cover off but if i have to i will. Just e-mail me if you know how to find out or if you want me to pop the cover off. Thanks Toby

nice truck

and the only real difference between a 2500 6 lug and a 1500 is a bigger rear end, a 2500 6 lug (which is a heavy half/light 3/4 ton, whichever you call it, it's not a true 3/4 ton) has a 14 bolt whereas the 1500 has the 10 bolt, the 14 bolts cam with 3.73s and up and the 10 bolt either cam with 3.42s or 3.73s for gears. of course, people do like to switch out gears so you never know what you'll find
