View from the train vacation shots

My mom and I spent 8 days on the train behind the SP4449 steam engine going from Minneapolis to Portland. I spent most of my time hangine out the side doors between the 1940's cars taking pictures. The train was amazing. Everyone should travel that way! We did 8 airports on the trip and I will be happy not to see one for a while. Did you know that if you wanted to get to Southern California from Portland last Wednesday you had to go through Seattle first. We should have stayed on the train!

I have been sorting through roughly a zillion photos, but I think I have it down to a more manageable number. You can just look at 50 or so of my favorites or you can page through the trip day by day. http://www.pwrwgn.net/pages/railpage.html is the rail photo link. Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Kathy
