Default 4.3 vortec swap

Im swaping a 4.3 into my spitfire it already has a 3.8 buick im wondering if I can swap out the serpintine belt for v belts ?I want to use tha alt & power steering pump I have in the car any idea what engine I might get waterpump pully & crank pully from ?

you can take the pulleys from a pre 86 chevy truck. doesn't matter that it has a V8 cuz 4.3 and V8 stuff are the same when it comes to front acessories.

dosent putting v pullys on make the water pump spin the opposite way?

well you will need the correct waterpump for the motor.

If you are rebuilding a 4.3 for it I got one that is 060 over that needs bearings yet vortec heads all cleaned up already. stock roller cam pm me and let me know

Ive got a running vortec motor, computer and harness from a s-15 jimmy it should bolt up to my trans set up so it looks like the answer about the v belt set up is it will work with v belts if you get a water pump from a v belt small block or 4.3 engine since the serpintine beltspins waterpump the opposite way of a v belt

yes you need the whole v-belt setup waterpump and all from a smallblock
