Yep narrow the front, only as wide as the grille, no stock headlight buckets. Then out back build a bed cage and hang box sides of the bed cage like the desert guys.

Well got a little done, Bought a bunch of parts today. Got my seats installed. Feva4u came over and shed some insight and help on mounting my relocated gear box and trac bar position. Hope to get the truck steerable tomorrow so I can push it out of the garage and turn it around so I can work on getting the front clip on.

I have been busy sitting on my butt lol I have been "trying" to gather info/parts for a 60/14 bolt swap in my TJ.

When is the party? I am going to be down in Florida 2 weeks during Christmas.

Got a bunch done today...good progress.

I have my rear brake line ran and done, and my fuel lines are now done. Spent the better part of the day working on the gear box and trac bar....I CAN STEER WOOT. lol.

Progress of the gear box through out the day..

Finally figured out what dumbass belt I needed to by-pass the air pump 6k945

Finally was able to get it outside, get it turned around in the garage and work on installing the front clip.

I need to trim the core support it doesn't fit betweeen the frame rails anymore lol. Good thing I got a new radiator.

You can see in the fender were it "was" and where it is.

Core support needs to be dropped to line everything up.

After seeing the clip on the vehicle, I would take the material out of the grill area and leave the light stuff on the outside. I'm not sure how you tie the fenders into the front and have it look decent without the lights to round the corners off. Nice progress

Your work ethic (especially your speed) never ceases to amaze me. You'll have this built and wheeling before I even get the front axle out of my flattie. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration.

I am hitting the wall....4 days straight of virtually all daytime working on it I am burning out. Hard to stay motivated.

But I got a little done today...

The core support was trimmed so I could get the height right and got the radiator mounted for the most part. The gear box interefered with the radiator and the frame rail spacing was havoc as hell. I ended up adding another inch to the body mounts. I now have 2"s of Body lift on it. But atleast with the body lift I no longer have to modify my floor in the cab to clear the 205. I have NO IDEA how I am gonna pull off the pinch on the front end.

Approach angle came out nice

Fenders lined up and attached to the cab.

Let me cut your hood for you, all it will cost you is labor in running my brake, and fuel line.

John, Like this man, you'll still have the headlights and stuff. Also, take and hold your tape and measure the fender from the firewall to the front, then start moving it toward the center. You'll have to move that core support toward the motor some to pull the 6-8" out of each side. You should be able to get a pretty close approximation of where to put the core support and still line the fenders up by holding the tape at the corner by the firewall and using your first measurement as you angle it in at the front. You might have to take 2" out of the length of the hood as well to get it to all sync up right again after you cut it.

The problem is figuring out how to cut and bend the fenders as to not destroy them. The fenders are the support structure. So they are not just thin sheet metal.

You may have to drill the spot welds on the inner fenderfrom the outer fender, and weld them back together. It will take some time, or.............. use a 3 inch cut off wheel, and I have a tool that hooks to a air hammer, that creates the indent tabs.
