If front was in the stock location and I moved the rear as far forward as the cab allowed it would be 104" wheelbase.

But I am stretching the front several inches so I will mostlikely be in the 108-110" ballpark.

So is the front still going out 12"? I'm not seeing what's going on with the spring buckets in the front

Don't know how far yet. I want to try and be around 110" at most so 6"s might be the number.

I thought the thinnest point on the frame for the buckets was the right spot If you're at 111", I don't think it's going to matter. You have to get the front out far enough to be clear of that retarded engine crossmember. You still need to cut that down btw

Yep, gonna try and find some plasma consumables local tomorrow to make that easier as well as I need to replenish my stock of cut-off discs, get longer body mount bolts, and some new exhaust manifold bolts.

I flatened the frame to make it easier to mount the buckets and trac bar wherever I needed to and not be limited from the bulges in the frame.

Skid and radius arm mounts tac'd into place for mock up.

You can see the amount of clearance we gave the crossmember.

Side view of the front axle in its new location.

Looks like when its all set I'll be at 111" for wheelbase.

Stock was 133"
Pushing front axle 11" and moving rear axle forward 33"

2 5/8 1.25" shank Johnny joints at the end of the radius arms and ruff stuff brackets.

Rear is gonna be 63" chevy leaf springs.

So the skid plate bolted to the frame is going to support the radius arm mounts also? Are the six bolts going to be strong enough to support the whole force of the axle if it were to have a hard rearward impact?
