Default finally got the roll cage put in the xj

made a roll cage out of 11/4 blk steel pipe from my work. should be plenty strong enough cause if i do roll it it will be in a mud hole somewere. put new floor pans in jeep removed all door panels and replaced them with 18 GAUGE galv sheets so i can just powerwash the jeep out after a day in the mud. i drilled 3 holes 3/4 in dia in the driverside and passenger side floor to allow water to drain out and to make cleanup a lot faster. herculined the inside of jeep which i am very happy with the way that came out. had to throw out the two front seats because of a leaking sunroof. i had to seats from a 86 ramcharger that i made brackets for and put them in the jeep.

Looks nice. That should REALLY stiffen up that unibody and make it last a lot longer.

I let it dry for a couple of days before i drove it and it doesn't smell but the pasenger side floor in front and back seat do get hot but not hot enough to melt my rubber floor mats but i am going to put a heat shield on very soon to fix that prob.
