Default door locks

I changed em out, obviously no big deal. Was just wondering as anyone else had that problem where there locks froze up? Did it on my 97 f250 and the 96 extended cab f250 up on the farm.

the door locks in my 2000 1 ton only work with the key, not with the power lock button or the key fob...not sure if you experiencing the same thing or if the lock is actually froze up?

The keys wont even turn. I pulled em out they didnt look corroded or anything, sprayed em up and down with pb blaster and nothing.

I had an 89 F250 with the 'key wont even turn' problem. The solenoids used for the power locks will freeze up solid. I was a cheap bastard and just snipped the rod that goes between the solenoid and the lock and used the key from then on.

However my '00 F350 has the "weak solenoids" issue - takes 2-4 button pushes to get the power locks to lock or unlock - which will eventually lead to them not working at all. There's a fix for it (besides just replacing the power lock assemblies) I just haven't done it yet.

mine was a easy fix since i dont have power anything haha, just went to the lock smith they gave me a new lock and 10 mins later i was in business.

look for the common denominator...I've seen lots of farm trucks have similar issues with parts coroded, siezed, rusted, etc....lots of caustic material (i.e. manure) on farms
