Someone thinks its funny to try and break into my elderly and alone neighbors house by knocking on her door and hiding so when she answers the door they can jump her.
This is a shame, I thought Bay City was a nice area.

(I know Saginaw and Flint are shit holes though)

Every neighborhood is different, after you get robbed at gunpoint on your own property you (or at least I) have tended to always carry since. not that it was always needed, but i felt that in my mind that it was. now even to this day even living in a nice area for the past few years where i probably dont have to even lock my door at night, i still dont let it leave my side. call me paranoid i call it prepared for the worst. to each their own.

That's odd because just a few weeks ago I was almost mugged on the way to the gym in the middle of the day! Also I was carjacked when I went to Wayne State. I guess you got lucky.

It really is a sad site. A city with (once) beautiful buildings, shoppes, three major sports teams, the river, and huge industries. Yet it is still a complete pile. There's really nothing that can be done about the city except it destroying itself. Eventually, once it turns into a ghost town (which it will), investors will come back and maybe we could have something comparable to Chicago.

As for now, Detroit is sickening and makes me ashamed.
