im actually not the only one with this problem, alix4d and orvoffroad has the same issue, doesn't really bother me much though so im not too worried about it, (my grounds are perfect in my jeep just cleaned them not to long ago plus i have a 0gauge body ground and the grounds for the hids are both ran directly too the battery, and there is nothing wrong with my antenna) but anyways Ryan i was wondering how much for a 9006 and 9005 kit for a 99 grand cherokee 55w 5000k

Hrm, they never told me so I assumed you were the only one. Got me - I have 4 ballasts on my Jeep and don't hear anything on local stations.

Have a 9006K kit in 50W for $90 (its a fluke, normally I don't carry 50k in this) at 6000K, will be same color as 5000K 35w, and then the 9005 5000K would be $70, and I'll throw in a relay harness as I think you'll need to for a grand. ($160 total)

I have that problem as well, 89X gets completely wiped out when I turn my headlights on. My grounds are in good shape, seeing as how I just built the jeep a year ago. I'm planning on playing around with wiring harness a little this weekend so try and help it.

Just about all the other stations come in just fine, 101 works on mine.

Default HiD headlights

I am looking to put HID in my 2000 XJ. I already have Delta Xenon Headlights, http://www.quadratec.com/products/97009_120.htm. I was hoping you could give me a quote for everything I need for the conversion and if you know if I could use the Delta housing.

Also I was wondering if you have led bulbs for the XJ tailights.

I can do the 50w bixenon (high and low beam are both xenon) for $110 ($20 more for the bixenon, and $20 for the 50w) and they will work right with your Delta housings. Being e-code, they should be just as good for HID as the ones I sell.

I have LED's for everything in the tail lights (though you wouldnt want to do blinkers unless you wire in resistors)

Awesome thank you. What else do I need, would I need a relay harness or anything else? Also how hard is it to install them, and is there any guides or directions?

The harness comes with a bi-xenon kit and it has instructions on how it goes together. Some XJ installs have been shown on previous pages of this thread as well. As always, if you have a question, I'm here to answer them too. For the most part, when you get the kit, it is easy to understand, and can only work one way. The longest part of an XJ install is just taking the glass housings out.

Well I just installed mine today and WOW! They work like they are factory. Even the connector on them plugs right into the oem one on the car so I didn't have to splice or cut a single wire! Everything BooGTS told me about the kit was 100% true and this kit is really good quality. I got the 5000k one BTW and I have no issues with the radio reception with it. I'll be posting pics soon. THANKS BooGTS!!!

I am having problems with my HID kit. IT has been working great for the last couple of weeks since I installed it, but now the drivers side will go out after a couple of minutes. If I turn the lights off then on again they will both work for a about 5 minutes then the driver's side goes out again. I was wondering if Ryan or anyone else would be able to help me me out?

Sorry you're having an issue. Can you help me remote-diagnose it by swapping the ballasts from one side to the other and see if the problem reverses itself. Obviously if the issue switches sides, its a bad ballast. If not, its a bad bulb or ground likely.

I have the ballasts mounted on pretty well with heavy duty mounting tape, so instead I switched the headlights with the bulbs and everything. I found out that the other side goes out now, same bulb and unit that plugs into the ballast. If you would still like me to switch the ballasts or try something else I can also do that.
