got mine tonight and Installed them in about 45mins. put them on my 2004 F-250. had to modify the head light retaining nut that keeps the light sung against the housing. had to cut 2 of the 8 taps to slip the harness in to it so it would would hold the light on. That was the only problem I ran in to other wise It IS PLUG AND PLAY, AND THEY LOOK COOL.

The 9007's are a pain, but I never had to cut tabs to get the harness through. Thanks for the feedback though, I'm glad you like them - and that they made it for your trip.

Ryan. Are the H1's the same price? I think I want them for the fogs now.

Are the 35 watt and 55 watt H1's physically the same size?

Same price. 35 and 55 are the same size external dimensions, only difference with the bulbs is the amount of gas.

On that note - I'm out of 5000K H1's, and didn't order any 55w ones. I'll have the 35w's in two weeks.

thanks! I have some more research to do on how much of a pita it is to modify the stock housing anyway. Mazda/Ford supposedly have a weird/odd method of installing the bulb, which is one of the reasons why I thought/assumed it was a sealed unit (every, I mean every manual shows replacing the entire assembly - in part probably because the bulbs typically fail only when the lens is cracked)

I'm pretty sure I'll pick up a set of the H1's from you in two weeks. I'll confirm and/or give ya' a call later on it.

Ok so I bought 50 watt H3 HIDs for my Hella 500FF's on the bumper of my jeep. First off Ryan is a very stand up guy and offered to answer any questions that I had, which to me mean that he actually cares about his customers. I am very pleased with the light output and quality of the HIDís.

Now for the write up...

1.) I already had the lights off of my bumper, but if you donít just take the 1/2" bolt off that allows the lights to pivot up and down.

2.) Once the light is removed take the lens out of the housing by removing the Phillips head screw, and put the light down on a towel to prevent the counter from scratching the lens.

3.) Now is when the custom "fabrication" starts. Pull off the tab that holds the original H3 bulb in, because it will no longer be needed for the lights. Now carefully put the bulb in the lens and bend the tabs the held the tab on. I donít have any in progress pictures of this step because I was trying to not ruin my lights.

4.) Now that the bulb in the lens a hole can be drilled into the housing to accommodate the extra length of the bulb and to allow the wires to exit the housing. I used a 1" drill bit to drill a hole in the center of the housing. I wanted the grommet to fit very tightly. I forgot to take pictures of this step but it is pretty self explanatory.

5.) This is one of the last steps to installing these lights, mounting the Ballasts. I mounted mine on the radiator with a zip tie and a screw through the cross member, but it really can be mounted anywhere.

6.) The last step is to wire up the lights. I didn't take any pictures of this step, because I just followed the directions on how to wire them.

That'd be the second Typhoon in a month, and yes, $120 for a low beam xenon high halogen kit, and a pair of glass e-code housings. 5000K would be pure white. I'll PM my contact info.

$70 kit
$10 harness
$50 headlight housings

So $130. $150 if you want both low and high beam Xenon.

$80 (all GM trucks need a relay harness). I got your PM as well, just haven't had the energy to compose an intelligent response

Did you ever figure out what the problem was with MUDBOG101 and the interference on the radio when the lights are turned on?

No, he was the only one to have the issue and we never figured out why. Usually its due to a bad antenna or ground. You get a very slight bit of interference on weak stations with any install, but nothing of note.
