Default 1990 460

I'm working on an F350 with the 460 and I found the egr has broken off the manifold. Also all the A.I.R. injection tubes have rusted off the exhaust. Does the truck really need these? It is my uncles truck and he only uses it for plowing and hauling landscaping stuff.

If I can make a blockoff plate for the upper intake and weld the exhaust manifold closed and just run the A.I.R. pump open will it be okay? He doesn't want to put a whole lot of money in the truck so if I can that would be great.

It shouldnt need that stuff to run. 90 is old enough it shouldnt screw with the CPU. The AIR system that is.

The EGR might throw the computer off.
