My chest is to sore to be rubbed! It would hurt more than anything. I could use a good shoulder / neck massage.. :) I could however use some help washing my hair, because that hurts like craaazy.

I went to the doctors today. He perscribed Physical Therapy and he gave me Loratab for the pain. It is kinda working. My mom made me a fleece thing with rice in it that I can microwave. I love it :)

He was driving a 2003 Dodge Stratus 4 door. He said he was talking to his friend in the seat next to him.

From my recent experience with chest trauma, taking OTC anti-inflammatory meds (ibuprofen is my friend) really goes a long way to reducing pain and helps healing.
Also - it will help you move more "normal" - i.e. if you hurt too much to perform certain movements, you compensate with other muscle groups that aren't used to / designed to move that way. Those groups get strained and only add to the pain.

I broke a few ribs and my back is spasming so bad, it has pulled my thoracic spine out of alignment. Net result, besides the ribs hurting, I have had a 24/7 backache between my shoulderblades for two weeks.

BTW, Poderbob came over to give me a massage, but it didn't really help. He straddled by back and it felt like he was tapping around with a sausage or something. After about a minute, I felt something very warm and wet hit the back of my neck. Next thing I know, he jumps off my back, steals a $20 out of my wallet and leaves.

Glad you're ok, but for future use, "Lee Free" is a statement, as in "call lee, free" as in free of charge. It's lee steinberg, and they advertise on tv stations that appeal to people without jobs.

Try getting a hold of a real lawyer to gain compensation for your losses.

This would be one of the few cases that seems like a legit law suit. He obviously broke the law, and caused her personal loss, and bodily damages.

Only problem is I cannot afford to retain a lawyer. I only work part time and now that I am out a car etc I really can't afford anyting.

I need someone who will work on a contingency basis so if I win they get something and if I dont win they dont take anything from me.

I probably have almost 10K in medical bills and still have to go for PT and other stuff

Just got the estimate for damages from the body shop. He said he stopped doing the estimate when he hit $3,151.88. Thats for just a door, body panel and axel assembly. That's not including pain, body mouldings, interior pieces etc.

Just got off the phone with insurance I have to pay $600 and they will pay for everything else. And his insurance is finally working with me and said as soon as I get them the info they need they will cut my check.

You would have to dig deep for a case. Her injuries are covered by her insurance, his insurance company will cover the $500 mini tort that she is entiltled to--she is not entilted to anything else for the physical damage to her car in the state of Michigan. She would have a case if she she could prove pain and suffering that cannot be rectified medically, something like a disfigured body part. As long as her injuries dont change her lifestyle long term, it would be very hard for her to find a case for pain and suffering.

Unfortunately the insurance company does not always do the right thing. Any competent personal injury lawyer will take the case. They all work on contingency, most 33% after the bills are paid. What they do is protect your rights. You prove pain because you say it hurts. Lortab is decent, you must have some injury.

I wouldn't advocate a frivolous suit. It sounds like you've been injured and should be compensated. When they want to settle quick, it's because they know your entitled to more.

With the fact that insurance is going to pay all my bills and his insurance already knew I'd be calling because he called them and told them it was all his fault I think I'm just going to deal with it and pay the $600 I have to.

I am going to try and figure out if there are any agencys or places that can help me because I don't have the $600 and dont want it to ruin my credit. I got laid off in Sept and only work part time so money is tight right now.

But the way I look at it I'd rather pay $600 than $15k

I'm just sad I'm out a car that I loved. But it gives me an excuse to buy a big ass truck now.

I didn't read that insurance was covering the medical, and I agree with what you just said.

When I called Monday they were giving me this "oh well we don't know if we are going to pay for anything for you bla bla bla"

Then I got ahold of my injury adjuster lady and she was like "we are paying everything but $600"

Way I look at It I'd rather pay $600 than whatever the scary bills are up to now. Plus they are gonna reimburse me for all the perscriptions I have to get and mileage to my physical thearapy :)
